On behalf of Uppercut, a research team worked to produce 3D animation videos faster. So-called “previews” help to get the idea off the ground when ideas are still in the planning phase. The challenge here is the enormous computing power for moving images. Under the direction of Gerlinde Emsenhuber, a rapidly calculating prototype renderer was developed.
